You will find that massage parlors and most independent therapists will charge from
$40 - $60 for an hour massage. I guarantee you it is because they deal in quantity - not
quality. They typically try to see 4 - 6 clients a day. This makes their work pretty much
an assembly line massage. Trust me - like any other job, the more hours each day you
are doing it - the less strength and stamina you can maintain. Your fingers and hands
can only do so much before they get tired. And you have to pace yourself in order to
avoid problems with your hands, knuckles and fingers and possibly carpel tunnel. So
you'll tend to get a lot more Swedish style massage in order for them to see 4 clients
in a day.
You'll also find that your massage is pretty much exactly like everyone else's massage
they will be working on. Very cookie-cutter. Not personalized for your needs at all.
I know - I work on a lot of therapists that work at massage spas and want work done
on them outside of the spa. You'll also find that you won't really get an hour of work.
Some will start the clock when they arrive or when they are setting up and tearing
down their equipment.
That is NOT how I work.
I NEVER work on more than 2 clients a day or 1 couple. This allows my hands to rest
and remain strong and flexible for each client. I take the time to find out exactly what
your problems are and what you may have been doing to fix them and what you may be
doing that makes them problems.
Then I use every means available to me to attack and heal those problems. Just using
Swedish and deep-tissue techniques will seldom help you very much. You may feel a
little better for the rest of the day but that will soon wear off. I use a wide range of
modalities and my own personal techniques to find those problems and help fix them.
I have an incredible innate intuitive ability in my hands to locate the root of the
problems and fix them. Where you hurt is not necessarily where the problem exists.
And I often will find problems that you didn't even know you had because you where so
overwhelmed but another one. So your massage is as personable and unique as you
are - made to help your problems - not someone else's.
And I work my ass off during the massage.
I give you a full hour of work, relaxation, and healing. You'll find that I may go back to
certain areas and work on them from different angles using different techniques
throughout the massage. That's because when you work on other areas - your body and
muscles will relax and allow me to get in deeper or from different angles.
This is not to say that I will be beating your body up. I do not believe in causing more
pain to relieve the pain you have. My techniques allow me to help you heal without
making you hurt. My clients constantly tell me that there are still feeling the healing
effects 4 days later.
I don't promise miracles. If you are suffering from back problems and have gained 30
pounds - I cannot fix that. I can make you feel better but the problem will return unless
you help yourself. I am not a genie.
If you have shoulder or rotator problems - I have had surgeries in these areas from
sports and am highly knowledgeable in treatment and healing in these areas.
I can show you how to help to heal them and what to do and more importantly - what
NOT to do.
If you have carpel tunnel issues - which many of my clients have - I can most certainly
help you. There is a technique that breaks up the scar tissue and promotes healing and
flexibility that I can also show you.
You will find I am very diverse and honest. I will not BS you into hiring me.
